Polar Mobile

Polar Mobile is a mobile solutions provider. Using their SMART™ software Platform, they create mobile apps that allow content-based and sports-based companies to establish their presence across mobile devices. Apps powered by Polar’s SMART™ Platform are used by over 9.2 million people worldwide. Polar has more than 700 Apps across iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Windows smartphones. They currently have 300 customers in news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle media verticals. Polar Mobile operates out of Toronto, but also has an office in San Francisco and plans to have offices in other major cities around the world including London, UK. This company recently made the largest mobile application deal in Canadian history when they partnered with the publisher Metroland Media Group to create apps for daily and weekly newspapers in southern Ontario.
History
Polar Mobile was founded in late 2007 in Waterloo, Ontario. For the past three years, Polar has been working with media Publishers who want to increase engagement among users through mobile applications.
