Interests:
Since Pobedy’s Mother Yolanda Montes can Remember Pobedy has always loved animals. Pobedy loves Horses so she put that talent into work. She sings in shows while riding her Andalusian horses, in particular her horse named Bohemio. This is a very difficult task to do if you are familiar with riding horses. To hold notes a mount a horse while the horses dance and move takes a lot of practice and training for the diaphragm and stomach. Not to mention handling the horses and making them work for you at the same time she sings. Pobedy does this very well. Pobedy also walks the LA parades with her Horses and their beautiful Charro Saddles.
At Age 13, Pobedy made her first Demo CD called Pobedy Montes El Amor, including 5 songs with Mariachi in Sound About Studios, a CD that people loved and also have asked to hear more. Her Second CD called Pobedy Montes El Principio released June 17th 2008. El Principio meaning the Beginning, the title chosen by Pobedy for many reason’s besides being one of the songs on her CD. She believes this is the Beginning of a new start in her singing career. This New CD includes Music with Mariachi and Banda. Songs that everyone can enjoy. Something new that Pobedy is trying.
What Does Pobedy Montes Mean?
There is a Spanish Encyclopedia that has "Montes Mas Altos Del Mundo" in it.
Montes is Pobedys last name, which means Mountains in Spanish. Among the highest Mountains in the world there is a Mountain called Pobedy in ..China.., which in Russian means ....Victorious.... and/or Victory.
The Story behind this Mountain is that ..Russia.. and ..China.. got into a war on top of this mountain and ....Russia.... won the great battle and called the mountain "Pobedy" or "Victory."
Some People say my mother and father put a lot of thought into my name. I think so too. On top of all that, my father's name is Obed and it is in the middle of my name, Pobedy. Since I am the Oldest of four, and tradition in a Mexican house hold is usually to name there first born son after there father, I turned out to be a girl and almost named after my father.
So when you say Pobedy Montes, it says it all, Victory Mountain.
