Playdo is an online chat based in Stockholm, Sweden. It was originally founded by Andreas Rehnberg in 1999. Playdo allows the user to meet friends online, play games, create a homepage, listen to music, upload pictures and videos, and chat in a virtual world called Spine World. Playdo 1 was launched in 1999. The chat was basic, but one of the first avatar chats in the world. Playdo Cam Playdo Cam was released in 2006. It was the largest release since it came out. The user's webcam is used as a motion tracking gaming device. Few demo or beta games on a non-joining site exist; for full versions one has to create an account. Playdo 2 Playdo 2 is the chat currently used in Playdo. Playdo 1 used to be in 2-D with your chat avatar moving wherever you clicked. With Playdo 2, you can walk with the arrow keys, or click your destination as used in Playdo 1. Also, Playdo 2 has avatars and other items in 3-D, unlike Playdo 1's 2-D world. Playdo is also a great place to express yourself. As of 04/02/08 their chat is separate and is now called Spine World. The quest are now out with lots of fun and the Beaneath.
