PlanetMarathi is a Marathi entertainment portal, founded by Akshay Bardapurkar, an entrepreneur and film producer. The website provides Marathi infotainment content and news related to the Marathi entertainment & media industry, particularly Marathi film & music industry and news dedicated to Marathi culture. Launched on 05 May 2017, the website offers live streaming of events, digital shows and programs for a Marathi speaking audience. The website gained popularity with its a talk show, Manjha Bole hosted by filmmaker, Mahesh Manjrekar. Another celebrity chat show, Lai Bhaari, anchored by Amit Bhandari features eminent personalities from Entertainment, Sports, Political and Business domains. The show has so far featured celebrities such as Sai Tamhankar, Amruta Khanvilkar, music composer duo Ajay-Atul. The website also hosts a film review show named Bhannat dedicated specifically for the Marathi films. PlanetMarathi has been credited to offer the Marathi devotional audience with novelty shows which included the first ever live online viewing of the most renowned Ganesh Idol popularly known as "Lalbaugcha Raja" during the Ganesh Chathurthi.
