A place of power, sometimes also called a nexus or node, is a location which possesses or is believed to have an energy field with significance to humans. This concept has found its way into several belief systems. This includes numinous locations such as sacred natural sites.. This concept has had significant impact in popular culture, including as numerous games, movies and television, The concept is considered analogous to that of chakras by some believers. Frequently considered to be connected to geomancy or ley lines. Several real places are commonly referenced as such locations including the Wawel Chakra, Stull, Ks Cemetery, Vatican City, and the Bermuda Triangle. Carlos Castaneda is one of the sources to popularize the concept, attributed to the Mexican Indian sorcerer Don Juan Matus like much of his work in metaphysics. |
