Pittot Films is a Feature Film Production company based in Melbourne, Australia and with associate offices in Los Angeles, Berlin and London.
The company was started by British born Actor & Filmmaker Jonty Reason . Pittot Films specialise in making low and ultra low budget feature films for theatrical and DVD release.
Encounters: Speed Dating can Hurt
Their first feature film produced was [http://www.pittotfilms.com/encounters "Encounters: Speed Dating can hurt"] which won Best Feature Film at the 2005 ReelHeART International Film Festival in Toronto and the 2005 Cheap Shot L.A. International Film Festival. The film also won the Delabole Slate Audience Award for Film of the Festival at the 2005 Cornwall Film Festival. "Encounters" was released on DVD by Celebrity Video Distribution in November 2009 under the international title "Encounters: Speed Dating can Hurt". "Encounters:Speed Dating can Hurt" was written and directed by long time collaborator Pat Kelman.
City of the Damned
Based on the script by Michael Coady, the feature film "City of the Damned" went in to production in late 2009 and is currently in post production. Filmed on location around Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula as well as at Peninsula Film Studios in Seaford, Victoria.
City of the Damned is a neo noir crime thriller shot in a graphic novel style.
City of the Damned is notable as the first full length feature film to be shot on a DSLR camera, the Canon EOS 7D, which although in reality it is a stills camera, it has the capacity to shoot Full HD 1080p video.
City of the Damned is directed and produced by Jonty Reason.
