Pigs in Space was a short sketch that ran in between the main storyline on The Muppet Show. Sketches always started aboard a fictional spacecraft called the Swine Trek, a fictional name that was pulled directly from Star Trek (the TV show). On the Swine Trek, the announcer would always begin with "time once again for...Pigs...In...Space...". The crew consisted of the captain, Link Hogthrob, first mate Miss Piggy, and Dr. Julius Strangepork. The sketch usually ended with something going extremely wrong and the announcer concluding "tune in next time for...Pigs...In...Space..."
