Phursatar at a glance: This is the small village of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.The origin of the name of the village, Phursatar, has long been a matter of dispute . People of the village use to go there almost every day for their necessities because it is the nearest market well connected to the village.
Literacy; 60.25% which is higher than the national average literacy.

Religion : 40% of total populations relate to Muslim Religion, 60 % belongs to Hindu religion out of which 10% belongs to SC/ST.
There are 2 Mosques called Choti masjid & Badi Masjid ( Classiffied on the basis of size of the Mosque) and two Temple ( one is located between the way of Jeetpura and second is located at the entrance of the village. Village also has its own Eid Gah but unlike others village’s Eid - Gah, it is 2-3 miles far from the village and built in the middle of Yadav’s Basti. People of the Basti also takes care of the mosque and it shows the level of Kaumi Ekta.
One more important thing about the village is to say that there never any kind of communal confliction happened, People from all the religion live and celebrates festivals of each other together. People from the muslims community use to go in their dushehra puja and people from the Hindu community participates in Muharram and plays various instruments like Tasha, Dholak, Jhaien etc. Mr. Sudershan, a small shopkeeper runs tea shop at the roadside, is best known personality for playing Dholak at the occasion of muharram.
Persons’ Behaviour : people of the village specially people from muslims community, are very mazahiya types peoples. Phursatar has the history of Mazaks.
The name which comes in mined first, in leg-pulling, is of Mr. Mansoor Hasan, he is one of the greatest Mazakiya .
