Philosophica

Philosophica: International Journal for the History of Philosophy is a biannual peer-reviewed open-access academic journal covering all areas of the history of philosophy. Articles can be in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French. The journal was established in 1993, at the University of Lisbon titled Philosophica: Revista do Departamento de Filosofia da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Originally a generalist journal, it assumed its current editorial line when it obtained its current name.
The journal is a non-profit publishing venture, supported by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia) and the University of Lisbon's Centre of Philosophy..
Beginning 2022 it is published by the Philosophy Documentation Center.
