Petocracy

Petocracy is a way of explaining the form of government that exists it many homes across the United States that have or are controlled by pets. Unlike systems such as democracy or anarchism, Petocracy is not rooted in an established political philosophy and has no formal advocates. Comes from the satirical mash up of pet and ocracy meaning rule by the pets. The concept of Petocracy implies that the human who owns the house caters to the needs of the pets who are supposed to be additions to the household rather than the shadow leader who pulls all the strings and has their paws in finances, daily routine schedule and who may or may not enter the house.
Uses
The term Petocracy is used in the pejorative or satirical sense to describe a household that is run, ruled or occupied by a doggie diva or castro kittie.
