The Persu V3 (formerly the Persu Hybrid and VentureOne) is a two-passenger three wheeled vehicle currently being developed by Persu Ventures. It is legally classified as a 3 wheel motorcycle. It originally operated as Venture Vehicles, but changed its name to Persu Mobility in 2008. Technology The Persu V3 will feature an automatic balancing "Dynamic Vehicle Control" system, which is said to allow full stability under almost all circumstances. The DVC technology has been developed by Carver Europe (formally Vandenbrink) and is currently also offered to third parties. The DVC will allow the vehicle to tilt into a turn, up to forty-five degrees, leading fans of the vehicle to compare it to an aircraft banking into a turn. Persu Ventures is developing two separate power trains for the V3: "Generation 1" will utilize a 2 cylinder, 4-stroke, 80 horsepower internal combustion engine and a 120 horsepower turbocharged option, both with an automatic transmission. This power train is projected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds, have a top speed of 100+ mph, and achieve fuel economy of at least 55 miles per gallon-<sub>US</sub> resulting in a total driving range of up to 330 miles on a six gallon tank of gas. "Generation 2" will utilize a plug-in hybrid vehicle architecture and battery electric power train with a range extending gasoline engine acting as a generator.
