Pearl and rind is a secret society founded at Wellesley College, one of the Seven Sisters colleges, for the purpose of facilitating constructive philosophical and introspective discourse. Membership has traditionally been limited to Wellesley students and thus has always been all-women; however, recent (though uncited) sources have suggested that the society has considered expanding to the Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology undergraduate student bodies. Pearl and rind has maintained a small but influential presence on the Wellesley College campus, though it has gone through periods of low activity. The society limits public access to membership records as well as historical and financial information.
