Pavlina Osta

Pavlina Osta (Born September 26, 1997) in Port Orange, Florida. Pavlina Osta is a child musician playing the steel drums, a professional dancer, singer and she hosts her own radio show titled “Pavlina Kidz Place”. Before her 13th birthday, Pavlina has interviewed over 100 top rated celebrities from music, TV and movies. Her dancing and singing landed her a spot in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and she’s a part of the Orlando Ballet. When she’s not performing or going to school, Pavlina is a philanthropist who speaks out for Animal Rights.
Career
Music
Pavlina started to perform on the steel drums for beach patrons on Daytona Beach at the age of 11. Since then, she’s performed over 100 times in 10 months, playing in front of sold out crowds while opening for top performers and at festivals all over the country. Some of her cover songs include: Red Red Wine," "Don't Worry, Be Happy," "Turn the World Around," "Volcano," " Hot Hot Hot," " Three Little Birds," "Amazing Grace," "Limbo Rock," "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Under the Sea," "Jump in Line," the national anthem and some originals (area steel drum player) Kelvin Hart taught her.
In addition to her steel drum playing, Pavlina is also a singer. She currently has two singles released titled “Chihuahua” and “Smile.”. Pavlina recently completed a pilot TV show called “Pavlina On The Go” that is a 30 minute interview and action show which is an extension of her on location interviews.
She regularly assists animal groups through donations or through performances. September 2009 she performed in Tallahassee on the state capital for National Recovery Month.
Dance
Pavlina has been dancing professionally for over 6 years. She’s performed in competitions all over the country and won many awards throughout those competitions. In 2010 she traveled to New York City to study under top dance professionals at reputable companies like “Broadway Dance Studio, Chelsea Studios, Alvin Ailey Studios and more.
In 2008 she received one of the most exclusive offers of her career which was to perform (dance and sing) in the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade seen by millions of people from all over the country.
Pavlina auditioned for the Joffrey & ABT summer programs in New York and was accepted.
Pavlina has been with Bolshoi Ballet NYC 2010, Joffrey Ballet NYC for Summer 2011 and 2012.
She puts in extensive hours of rehearsal time with her dance because someday she wants to perform on Broadway. She currently attends the Orlando Ballet, appearing at rehearsals four times a week and more if she’s cast in a production by the Ballet company.
Radio Show Host
Pavlina started her own radio show called “Pavlina Kidz Place” when she was 11 years old back in 2009. The radio show is about kids and kids that excel in life. Each week she interviews celebrities and outstanding people who make an impact on kids today. Many are top celebrities from TV, movies and music.
She’s interviewed top celebrities like John Stossel, Victoria Justice, Shay Mitchell, Gregg Allman, Kellie Pickler, Kat Von D, Boy Bands like Big Time Rush and The Wanted. Plus realty TV stars, Lizard Lick Towing and more.
Her show can be heard ever Sunday on WOLT 103.3FM, every Monday on WELE 1380AM, every Saturday on WAPN 91.5FM and WAPB 91.7FM and across the internet on WMFB Real Radio Daytona. She is currently looking to have her show nationally syndicated.
Philanthropy
Even before she was a teenager Pavlina has fought for animal rights. She travels each year to Tallahasssee and performs, raising money for animal rights organizations with her music. While in the capital she speaks to the state’s Legislative branch to promote spaying and neutering animals to prevent over population. Pavlina has also spoke in front of city council meetings speaking out for mandatory pet spaying and neutering.
Community Outreach
Pavlina holds a bronze medal and silver medal in girl scouts and currently working on her gold medal. In 2011 she was the youngest National Delegate ever chosen for the Citrus Council in their history and served at the National Girl Scout convention, Houston, Texas 2011. In April 2010, Pavlina was a Page in the House of Representatives in Tallahassee for one week after being sponsored by a Florida Representative and has served three consecutive years as a Page for the House of Representatives in Florida.
Pavlina has been recognized by the organization, Daughters of the American Revolution, as an outstanding citizen and the American Cancer Society has recognized her for her contributions to Relay for Life events which help the organization raise millions of dollars for cancer research each year.
