Paul Wayne Buza (born July 5, 1958) is an American Neurologist and an assistant professor of Aerospace physiology at Florida Institute of Technology and owner and CEO of the Southern AeroMedical Institute. Dr. Buza’s passion for research has lead him to become involved with several Universities. When he attends at University of Central Florida, College of Medicine as an Adjunct Professor and Admissions Member. Also, Dr. Buza is an Adjunct Professor Undergraduate and Graduate Level Courses and Master’s Thesis Committee Member for Florida Institute of Technology, College of Aeronautics. There is an EMS Hyperbaric Dive Medicine Lab that is held at the chamber for Eastern Florida State College. As well, a Certified Hypoxia Lab that is held at the chamber for University of Jacksonville, School of Aeronautics. Hypoxia Training Labs are held for Broward College, Flight Safety Academy and Bristow Academy. Career Practice History Dr. Buza has practiced Neurology in the state of Florida since 1994. Dr. Buza and his family relocated from Detroit Michigan to the Florida Keys in order to start up his Neurological practice. After three years of practicing Dr. Buza and his family relocated from the Florida Keys to the Melbourne area in 1997, where he has developed a comprehensive Hyperbaric medicine, wound therapy, and aviation flight physiology medical and training facility. The Melbourne campus boasts a unique and automated hyper/Hypobaric chamber. Current Ventures Dr. Paul W Buza DO., F.A.C.N. currently practices hyperbaric medicine at Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center in Melbourne, Florida where he provides affordable hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Dr. Buza not only founder of Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center, but as well he dedicates his same time and efforts to Southern AeroMedical Institute. Southern AeroMedical Institute is a unique facility where Pilots are provided with advanced High Altitude Chamber Training that utilizing Advanced Instrumentation Integration for Identifying Symptoms of Slow Onset Hypoxia. Dr. Buza offers several training programs in his hypobaric chamber some of the training programs utilize a Garmin G1000 used for Southern AeroMedical Institute's DESAT training program. Education Paul Buza is a board certified Neurologist and received his medical degree for Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing Michigan. Michigan State University is also where he completed his Internship as a Chief Intern and a Member of Internship/Residency Training Committee Residency in 1990-1994. In 1986 he completed his pre-med residency and Bachelor in Biology together from Oakland General Hospital and Wayne State University. Additional training was received from Michigan Institute of Neurological Disorders, University of Michigan, Bowman-Gray and NOAA. Life Youth Paul Buza born and raised in suburban Detroit, Michigan. Paul Buza was the youngest of 3 brothers born to parents Victor and Evelyn Buza. Personal life Paul Buza is married to Deborah Buza, Chef and owner of the hyperbaric chamber in the Melbourne area. They were married in May 1980 and have two children, Matthew Buza and Jenelle Buza Project Director for Southern AerMedical Institute.
