Paul Royall

Paul Royall is a British journalist and the current Editor of the BBC's News at Ten and News at Six.
Early life
From 1986-89 he studied English at the Lancaster University. From 1990-91 he studied Social and Political Science at the University of Essex.
Career
He started his journalistic career with newspapers, later joining ITV Meridian (Southampton), known for its Meridian Tonight.
BBC
He joined the BBC in 1997 with News 24. He later became Deputy Editor of BBC Breakfast in January 2004, to the Editor Mark Grannell.
In May 2009 he became the Deputy Editor of the News at Ten and News at Six. He became Editor on 22 July 2013, replacing James Stephenson who became Head of BBC World News.
