Paul Herscu

Dr. Paul Herscu was born on May 5, 1959 in Bucharest, Romania. He and his family moved to Israel in 1961, and relocated to the United States in 1969. Herscu was naturalised in 1975 and was granted an ND in 1986 from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. He received a Masters in Public Health from University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Paul Herscu is a public speaker. He has lectured extensively in most countries in Europe as well as the United States, South Africa, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico. Dr. Herscu is the founder and director of The New England School of Homeopathy, and founded The New England Journal of Homeopathy which was published from 1992-2002.
He co-founded Personalized Pharmaceutical Systems (PPS), a pharmaceutical technology company focused on developing Clinical Prediction Tools as enrichment mechanisms for clinical trials in order to target latent classes in larger diagnostic categories that have less potential for adverse effects and a higher potential for benefit for a given therapy. Dr. Herscu's / PPS's work in partnership with pharmaceutical companies has involved the identification and characterization of treatment response-related latent classes in Angioedema, Sepsis, ADHD (involving both drugs and ADHD EEG biomarker technologies), Autistic Disorder, Rett Syndrome.
Through PPS, Dr. Herscu became a founding partner in Autism Therapeutics LLC. A drug development company focused on identifying novel targeted therapies for Autism and related disorders.
Dr. Herscu also heads the Herscu Laboratory, a medical science research initiative devoted to exploring the synthesis of diverse fields in biology and medical science. His work in Herscu Lab has included subpopulation and prolonged adverse drug response research in Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder ("HSDD"), CNS (ADHD, ASD, Depression) drug discovery, influenza treatment studies and public health readiness in alternative medicine. Dr. Herscu had served on the board of several organizations, including the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (HANP).
Dr. Herscu is a published author in Angioedema, Sepsis, and the development of Clinical Prediction Guides (CPGs) and their potential to increase success in Phase II-IV clinical trials.
