Paul Elgin

Paul Elgin (Born Paul Elgin Burghardt, Jr., August 18, 1976), is the Chairman & CEO of New World Entertainment Group, Inc., parent company of Catch 22 Clothing Co., Ltd., which Paul also founded and is CEO.

Catch 22 Clothing Co., Ltd.

In the spring of 2006, Paul founded the Catch 22 Clothing Co., Ltd. fashion brand. In the summer of 2006, Catch 22 Clothing ads were broadcast on 3 major Bay Area radio outlets, as well as the Catch 22 eyewear product being worn and displayed in music videos of artists such as Mistah F.A.B. and Haji Springer.

In the fall of 2006, Catch 22 Clothing received its first major national exposure, when New York R&B recording artists Deuce wore Catch 22 product live on nationally televised episode of "Wildin' Out Wednesdays" on BET. In addition, the company received its first taste of worldwide exposure when Paul signed a licensing deal with Definitive Studios, a San Francisco based video game development firm, which developed a music-editing platform for the Sony Playstation gaming console called Traxxpad with Catch 22 branding within the game. That game is now sold worldwide in major retail chains and gaming outlets.

In the fall of 2007, Catch 22 had product placement in the September issue of Don Diva Magazine (p. 55), where again R&B recording artists Deuce, along with a host of New York City fashion models, are shown wearing Catch 22 gear.
Influence on Bay Area Hyphy Movement

It has been said that Catch 22 Clothing had played a role in the Hyphy Movement, a San Francisco Bay Area culture originated by local music artists Mac Dre and Keak da Sneak. "Stunna Shades" , or oversized eyewear, also referred to as Aviator glasses, were commonly worn by indiviuals within the Hyphy culture, and Catch 22 Clothing was the first company to trademark the phrase and subsequently brand it on eyewear products. Bay Area artists such as Mistah F.A.B., Haji Springer, Scweez wore Catch 22 Clothing's Stunna Shades product in their music videos and in photo ops.

He has also designed web work for musicians Black Moz, J. Styles, and a host of others, which include fashion models and musicians.
