Patriot myth

The term patriot myth is commonly used to refer to a diverse collection of ideas or stories of dubious authenticity or accuracy, believed by some American dissidents, especially on matters of law and legal strategy in court.

These ideas should be distinguished from legal ideas or views which may be correct as a matter of strict construction of federal or state constitutions, but that are not currently being accepted by courts.

Some common patriot myths
* UCC/Acceptance for value, applied outside commercial contracts
* Significance of all caps, especially of names
* Gold-fringed U.S. flag

Some legal arguments called "frivolous" by some but which others consider meritorious
Tax protest
"Tax Protester" is another myth. The term "Illegal tax protester" is the correct concept in the protestation against unconstitutional taxation.
