Patrick Doval

Patrick Doval (born March 23) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, whose "80’s" style fuses elements of rock with a new wave sound. In 2008, he independently released two-albums, “Deliverance” & “Fractured” and quickly built a large following on his myspace page. In addition to singing, Doval plays all the instruments himself on both albums. Songs from both albums have sold in the US, England, Australia, Italy, France and Germany. Doval has also created, directed & edited numerous music videos to many of his songs.
Genre
Due to Doval’s wide variety of musical influences, his music genre is often unresolved. Doval’s music and vocals have often been compared to the likes of David Bowie, Jeff Buckley and Robert Smith (from The Cure). However, his early recordings (pre-2006) are heavily influenced by Lenny Kravitz, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. His musical influences on “Deliverance” & “Fractured” vary from 1980’s acts like New Order, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy and Billy Idol to that of David Bowie. Doval's music has thus been labeled as “Alternative”, “New Wave”, “Darkwave”, “Post-Punk”, and “Rock”.
