Party submarine sandwich

A party submarine sandwich, which is also known as party sub or giant sub for short, is an extremely long submarine sandwich designed for catering purposes, that aesthetically resembles a long submarine. This gigantic sandwich can either be one solid piece, especially when made by a catering service, or one that has many smaller sandwiches connected to each other, usually when home-made. The sandwich is usually made out of wheat or white bread, and has various fillings, typically used in regular sandwiches.

Pop culture
In the TV series The Big Bang Theory, its 204th episode titled , has a scene where one of the main character, Dr. Sheldon Cooper asks another character Dr. Leonard Hofstadter about a party submarine sandwich that's on the kitchen table, when Hofstadter character replies: "People are coming over; it looked fun.".
