Dr.Parakala Prabhakar was born on 12 Jan, 1959 to Mr and Mrs. Parakala Shehavataram, former Minister in Government of AP.
Dr.Parakala Prabhakar is an alumini of Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada Class of 1978 · B.A. with Economics, History and English Literature. M.Phil, JNU and Ph.D from London School of Economics,Class of 1991.

Dr.Parakala Prabhakar has conducted several research studies and policy analysis for International organizations such as UNICEF, ILO,WTO,UNDP,FICCI, CII . He worked closely with various Corporations and Government of India.
