Paperturn

About
Paperturn.com is an online flipbook software founded in 2014 that enables users to electronically publish their PDF and printed content and share it digitally.
Paperturn's software converts PDF and printed content (magazines, reports, catalogs, brochures, menus, manuals and more) into online flipbooks / flip pages using HTML5 technology.  Once converted, online flipbooks have the real look and feel of an actual page-turning publication and can be embedded into websites, emails and social media campaigns.
In addition to digitizing content, publications can be customized e.g. the design and adding links, videos and lead-generating multimedia to the pages of their documents.
History
In 2013, a web agency, founded by Lars Reffstrup, in Odense, Denmark called WEB2IT (now a subsidiary of Paperturn), received a request from a client asking if it would be possible to make an online catalog for their website. After developing a prototype for the client, the online flipbook concept was expanded and, in 2014, Paperturn.com was born. By 2015, Paperturn flipbooks were sold in over 30 countries.
In 2018, Paperturn hired an international CEO from Canada, Whitney Jorgensen, who (with her knowledge of marketing, business and people experience from the technology industry) initiated the further internationalisation and expansion of the company.
By 2020, Paperturn had grown to a multinational company with clients in over 50 countries worldwide, serving more than 200,000 flipbooks every year.
Accessibility Feature
In 2020, Paperturn became 100% accessible for users with disabilities, conforming and compliant with all major worldwide disability legislation, including: WCAG 2.1, ADA Title 3, Section 508, IS5568, ACA/AODA and EN301548. Compliance was achieved via the combination of an AI background application coupled with a Disability Interface Tool which allows every user to adjust the website and flipbooks’ design to their individual need or disability.
