Panties Productions

Panties Productions was an all-female, slightly feminist Canadian theatre company from Edmonton, Alberta. It was founded in 2002 by Jocelyn Ahlf, Belinda Cornish, Jana O'Connor, Celina Stachow and Dana Wylie to create work for comic actresses. The company produced six original plays (including a Richard the Third adaptaion Hump, heavy metal musical Paradise City, and pocket drama Princess). They also toured in Canada with their musical about Lydia Thompson, Burlesque. In 2005, they received an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for their surreal sketch comedy show Lobster Telephone, co-written with Mark Meer, which was then toured by Dad's Garage Theatre Company in Atlanta, and the Improv Olympic West in Los Angeles. Panties Productions worked with and was fostered by Rapid Fire Theatre.
