Owup

OWUP (Over Worked Under Paid), is an acronym of modern vernacular, describing both an actual and an emotional perception or feeling of being unappreciated in a work or professional environment. Accounting definitions and measurements refer to those in such situations as being underemployed .
Both the actual and feeling of OWUP is amplified by distressed economies causing the loss of one's job in a chosen career with its associated compensation and having to settle for one or more jobs that requires less skill, more working hours and less take home pay.
Remedies for those affected include time management and speaking up when appropriate .
The acronym for the sociological term is not to be confused with the state of California's Outdoor Water Use Program.
