The Orlando Eye is a proposed Ferris wheel in Orlando, Florida. Development In August 2011, it was announced that a developer plans to tear down an abandoned shopping center in Orlando, Florida. Aside from the Orlando Eye, there are also plans for a museum, an aquarium, and numerous shops and restaurants to be built on the site. The Orlando Eye is going to be based on the United Kingdom's London Eye. If the plan is approved by Orange County's Planning Department, the Eye's height is expected to surpass the London Eye's when it is completed, making it the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. The proposal could also bring approximately 1,500 jobs to Orlando. |
