Ontario United FC is an Canadian soccer team based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2011, the team was formed by the owners of the old Buffalo City FC franchise, which played one season in the National Premier Soccer League in 2009. In January 2011, the club announced its aspirations to become a franchise in one of the top professional soccer leagues in North America as the club moved to Ontario, Canada and became Ontario United FC.
