Oneryu is a modern form of micro poetry. The name oneryu has been coined by its creator Premji, a poet hailing from Trivandrum, Kerala, India. ONERYU is defined as given below: 'One' of One-liner+ 'Ry' of Senryu+ 'U' of haiku = 'ONERYU' ONERYU is a Single Line Poem, Mentioned in a Single Line or Split into Two Half for Aesthetics sake. There are hundreds of such poems written by various writers and published in various website referred. Oneryu Poetry - Few Examples Don't Let go your yawn!!!!(hold it tight) The Greatest Truth! Everything is Illusion! ANOTHER ROOT CAUSE OF SORROW Comparison! Explanation ONERYU is a single line poem conveying strong messages/revelations/twisted ends etc which are not easily expected by the reader. The first half will contain half of the message to be conveyed, the second half will deliver the message what the poet wants to convey.ONERYU conveys powerful messages in the shortest form.
