One year MBA in India

One year MBA is catching up as a new trend in India. Many top B-schools of India are providing the course to meet the needs of experienced executives who want a full-time course, but are unwilling to stay away from the jobs for longer durations.

There are many different kinds of programmes generally targetted towards middle management roles for candidates wishing to grow withing their own domains. However, it is not entirely impossible to make a domain switch. The programmes are generally fast track.

Indian School of Business

The Indian School of Business, located in Hyderabad, offers a one year full time post graduate programme in management. The programme commenced from 2001 and has become a reputed programme as of today.

The admission requires GMAT scores and preferably a minimum 2 years experience.

S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research

S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), located in Andheri, Mumbai, offers a one year full time post graduate programme in Management (PGPM). The programme commenced from 2004 and offers specializations in Information Management and Operations Management.

The admission requires any one of CAT, XAT or GMAT and a preferable experience of minimum 5 years.

Indian Institute of Management

The IIMs have gradually started to offer one year Post Graduate programmes in Management.

IIM Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad provides one year Post Graduate Programme in management for eXecutives (PGPX). The programme commenced in 2006. The programme accepts GMAT scores.

IIM Calcutta

IIM Calcutta provides one year Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) and Post Graduate Programme for Executives - Visionary Leader in Manufacturing (PGPEX-VLM) since 2007.

Great Lakes Institute of Management

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai provides a one year full time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) since 2004.

The program accepts CAT or GMAT scores and requires a minimum of 2 years experience.
