Okinawa Coral

Okinawa coral, often improperly referred to as coral calcium, is a dietary mineral supplement. It is made from extractions of fossilized coral reefs. Okinawa coral was originally harvested from the Japanese island of Okinawa, which is located midway between Japan and Taiwan in the East China Sea.

What Does Okinawa Coral Contain?

*Calcium carbonate in the form of aragonite
*A percentage of magnesium (varying between 0% and 12% depending on the grade)
*Various other trace elements (Up to 69 elements including Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium, and Sodium)

Detailed composition analysis:

Production

Coral grains are both: mined from fossilized coral beds on the coastline, and pumped from coral beds in shallow waters. Grains are then
ground into a fine powder, and heat treated up to 1000 F and/or ozonated depending on the grade. The final product is either bagged as
powder, or mixed with silicon dioxide(free flow and anti-caking agent), rice flour, and magnesium stearate(lubricant), then encapsulated
and bottled for retail sale.
