Oasis of Mara Masonic Lodge

| [http://29palmsmasons.org/ Oasis of Mara Masonic Lodge #735] was chartered on April 6, 1954 by California's Masonic Grand Lodge. The Lodge did not have a permanent home until its current building was completed in April 1965; in fact, many members of the Lodge participated in a Masonic-military degree team that traveled the area before its current home was built. The first meeting held in the Lodge building, which is located at 72495 Larrea Avenue, Twentynine Palms, CA, occurred on April 5, 1965. Its cornerstone was dedicated in 1966. The Lodge celebrated its 50 year anniversary in April 2004. Carl Leonard Sitter (December 2, 1922 - April 4, 2000), Medal of Honor recipient, was a member of the Lodge. |
