NZXT

NZXT is a Los Angeles company established in 2004 that manufactures computer cases marketed for gamers. NZXT's first products were originally desktop computer cases. However, they have since begun to spread open their market by manufacturing computer power supplies, laptop coolers, computer mice, and fan controller units. NZXT's products are designed and engineered in the United States and manufactured in China and Taiwan.

* Lexa Blackline - A revision of the Lexa. A black midtower case with included red or blue LEDs. Also has pre-drilled holes for water cooling.

* Nemesis Elite - Follow-up to Nemesis with extra added features such as a fan monitor, tool-less design, included 120mm blue LED fans, etc.

* Zero - Aluminum fulltower design. Made for containing high-end gaming hardware configurations such as SLI.

Power supplies
NZXT also produces power supplies. The models they offer include the "Performance Power" (PP) models which are available in 500W, 600W, and 800W output versions, and the "Precise" models which are available in 550W, 650W, 850W, 1000W and 1200W output versions. Surprisingly for a new upstart manufacturer, professional reviews for NZXT power supplies are generally positive , although consumer reviews are somewhat mixed.
Etymology
In an interview, NZXT's chief designer commented on the origins of the name:

"It doesn't really mean anything actually, but the idea behind the name was next generation, unique. So when we were designing the brand, we started out with NEXT, but we wanted it to be easily recognizable so we switched E with Z. (at the same time making it impossible to pronounce) It sounds completely crazy but that's basically how we came up with the name. Some of our forum members have spent a lot of time trying to decypher the name."
