Nuffnang

Nuffnang.com is a blog advertising community based in the Asia-Pacific region, with offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, China, Hong Kong and Thailand. The online platform allows advertisers to place graphic or video-based advertisements onto registered members’ blogs hosted on various platforms.
Other than allowing bloggers to serve ads from various advertisers, Nuffnang also focuses efforts on building the blogging communities in countries it has presence in with various events and activities for bloggers. As of December 2011, the Nuffnang community reaches out to 1 million bloggers across the Asia-Pacific region.
The name “Nuffnang” has its origins in the inner-London slang, Jafaikan, popularised by the character Ali G from the series, Da Ali G Show. “Nuffnang” means “very good” or “very cool” in Jafaikan, and the non-conventional name was chosen to reflect Nuffnang's aspirations to be different while taking a lighter approach to running a business.
History
Nuffnang.com was founded by Timothy Tiah and Cheo Ming Shen, after the two co-founders who met while studying in London realised the potential of the blogging medium in marketing. However, they noted a lack of systems in their respective home countries of Malaysia and Singapore enabling local companies to effectively reach out to the blogging community, and thus decided to take advantage of the region’s underdeveloped online market. After months of planning, Nuffnang was officially launched at 2.00 am on 27 February 2007 in Malaysia, followed by Singapore two months later on 30 April 2007. Within three months, over 4,000 blogs in Malaysia and Singapore combined had signed on with Nuffnang.
A little over a year after the launch in Malaysia and Singapore, Nuffnang Philippines was launched on 26 August 2008 with headquarters set up at Bonifacio High Street, Manila. Nuffnang Australia came soon after in November 2008, establishing headquarters in Melbourne. In mid-2011, Nuffnang further expanded its network to China, with offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. Within the first week of its launch, more than 1,200 bloggers signed up with Nuffnang in China. The latest addition to the network came in December 2011 with the official launch of Nuffnang Thailand.
