Plot
It has only been one day since the events that took place five years from now in the season four finale.
Susan is happily married to Ken, who is a successful businessman. Susan talks to Julie on the phone, but Julie isn't seen or heard (it's just to prove that she's still alive). Mike is also alive and still living on Wisteria Lane. Susan and Mike meet a restaurant where she is waiting for Ken, and he talks to her, and asks her if she's happy. Susan says she is, but one can tell she is lying, for she sounds nervous. Mike leaves, and Ken never arrives. Ken then calls Susan, telling her that he won't be having lunch with her for he has a new meeting soon. Ken hangs up, and it turns out that he is having an affair with his secretary, Jessica (guest star Autumn Reeser).
Lynette releases Preston from jail. Someone knocks on the Scavos' door. Tom opens it, and it's eighteen-year-old Kayla and her grandparents. Her folks want to drop her off with the Scavos for a month, for they are going on an extended trip over their fiftieth aniversary. Lynette doesn't feel comfortable with Kayla back in her house, but she promises she will be good to her stepmother. Lynette talks to Preston, and tells him that if he doesn't stop wreaking havock she will kick him out of his house. In the heat of the fight, Preston slaps Lynette across the face. He then realizes what he's done and apologizes. Lynette cries alone in the bathroom. In her room, Kayla takes a picture of Lynette from her wallet and burns it.
Bree is releasing a new cookbook, but there are some problems with the printings. It all takes a while to be taken care of, but the books are finally released to the store where Bree will be promoting them. Andrew, her agent, thinks it'd make a good promotional still if Bree holds Benjamin in her left arm and the book in her right hand and gets photographed that way. Orson brings Benjamin to the store, but he's just had a lot of homemade cookies and feels sick. When the store owner reveals the books from under the cloth that was hiding them until the fans and photographers arrived, it is revealed that there was a mix-up, and the books delivered are all erotic novels. Bree panicks, just as little Benjamin, who's already on her lap, throws up onto her blouse.
Gabrielle feels bad that one of her little girls is too chubby and the other one is too small. She wants them to exercise a lot. At first, Carlos agrees with this, but when he learns what his wife's intentions are, he wants to put a stop to her plans, and warn her that they're still their little girls and that they must love them no matter what. Gaby slaps him for thinking that she didn't like her daughters because of their looks, and she gets mad at him. She starts to shed a few tears, saying that they will always be two things she'll love above anything else. And then says her typical joke that they can be loved and sexy at the same time.
Edie returns to Wisteria Lane, and the other housewives are shocked to see her back. Mrs. McCluskey pays her a visit, to learn why she's back to her old house, and Edie refuses to tell the truth. She connects with the other housewives, saying that if they want to ignore her yet again, she'll be cool with it. But Katherine says for the other girls that they will not be doing that. Susan then says she hopes they can all be friends again. Edie smiles and says "good". She then returns to her house and stares at a picture she kept of Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle and Mary Alice, and says "Those b*****s are gonna die!".
Dylan (special guest star Lyndsy Fonseca) returns to have her mom help her with organizing the wedding, but her fiancée couldn't come yet, he stayed in Paris working. Katherine meets with the housewives to run through some ideas for the wedding ceremony, but Mrs. McCluskey insists that first they need a bachelorette party before the fiancée arrives. They finally organize a casual, down-to-earth bachelorette party, supposedly consisting of only games and romantic movies, but Mrs. McCluskey secretly ordered a male stripper. When he arrives, the girls all are greatly surprised, and they go with the flow and enjoy it. Mrs. McCluskey offers a drink to the stripper, and he declines for he doesn't drink, but she insists. Later, he's drank several drinks, and while performing, he suffers a heart attack and collapses to the floor.
Charisma Lovell arrives to the street. She's a beautiful young black woman with a dark secret. She meets the other housewives, and they find her very nice and invite her to the bachelorette party. When Mrs. McCluskey visits her to welcome her to the street, Charisma offers her a lemonade. Karen asks if she can go to the bathroom, and Charisma says she can. She goes to the back of the house, where she gets kinda lost, and enters the wrong room. She doesn't see a crack on the floor, and trips on it. Her foot takes a piece of wood with it. She then notices something strange under the floor and keeps breaking it with her hands. She then screams, staring at what's under the floor: a secret basement filled with severeal dead men. Charisma is like a black widow.
