Noe Baba (Born 8 Aug 1996) is a footballer who plays for Birmingham City. A previous trialist at Manchester United, he is a centre back who could also play on the right or as a defensive midfielder. Early life Baba was born in Cameroon, but was brought up in the Republic of Ireland and played for Castlebar Celtic in their academy. It was here where he made real strides and began representing Ireland at youth International level, culminating in him becoming captain of the U17 side. Club career Fulham Fulham won the signature of Baba in the January transfer window of 2013, despite reports that suggested Manchester United were interested among others. He joined up with the U18 squad but saw little action for the remainder of the season, turning out for them on just four occasions due to injury. He found more playing time in 2013-14, where he played mainly as a centre-back, though struggled to become first choice with captain Liam Donnelly and Cameron Burgess the preferred pairing by manager Steve Wigley. He was a mainstay in the U21 squad during 2014-15, however, Baba was released during the summer of 2015 after being seen as surplus to requirements by Kit Symons. Birmingham Baba signed for Birmingham City in August 2015.
