Nivesh.com, launched in 2017 is a mass mutual fund investment platform. The aim is to take a financial investment to every Indian household. With its headquarters in Noida, the company operates through local partner advisors spread across the country.
History
Nivesh.com, owned by Providential Advisory Services Private Limited and founded by Anurag Garg was incorporated on 1st August 2016 and commenced operations on a pilot basis in January 2017. Prior to starting Nivesh.com, Anurag Garg co-founded mutualfundsindia.com, which was later acquired by rating agency ICRA. Sridhar Srinivasan, previously heading Indian operations at Visible Alpha, joined later as Co-founder & CTO.. In India, Accessibility of financial investment product is a big challenge. Due to the lack of a proper vehicle, investors in such areas are unable to initiate their investment journey. Nivesh.com aims to be such a vehicle that will not only help them get started but also support them along the way.
Funding
Nivesh.com started with a seed round in Nov 16/Feb 17 with investments from Rahul Gupta, CEO of Right Global Infosolutions and former president at private equity firm Sonoma Management Partners, Sandeep Shroff, CEO of Silicon Valley-based MyStartUpCFO.com and former head of investors relations at Infosys, and P V Sahad, founder and former CEO of the VCCircle Network.
A LetsVenture-led angel round in May 2018 featured Google India MD - Rajan Anandan and former Infosys Global Sales Head - Basab Pradhan as major angel investors. Other prominent investors include Vivek Khare, Advisor Corporate Development at Naukri.com, Debasish Hota, CEO at CompuGain Corporation, USA, Windrose Capital, Bijoy George, Partner at Full Circle Tech LLP, and LetsVenture LLC.
Geographical Presence
With its headquarters in Noida, Nivesh.com is currently present in Delhi-NCR and the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The company has its presence in over 200 cities.
Awards and Recognition
* Winner of “Startup Superhero Hunt 2018” organized by Entrepreneur Magazine in January 2018.
* Nivesh.com created a record of registering 1100 SIPs on a single day (25th July 2018).
* HDFC Mutual Fund awarded Nivesh.com with “Noble White Winner Upper Crust Award” (2017-18).
