Nithor Mahbub (born 18 August 1980), is a Bangladeshi mime artist and dramatist. Mahbub has performed in more than 100 exhibitions of eight stage plays as well as in film and television. In 2008, he established the Mime Art acting troupe. Mahbub was inspired by the Bangladeshi mime artist Partha Pratim Majumder. Early life Nithor Mahbub was born Mahabubur Rahman on 18 August 1980 in Mollabari village of Kalagachia of Araihazar Thana of Narayanganj District. The son of Kadruzzaman Mollah and Mastoori Chowdhury, he is the second of three brothers and a sister. He began his education in East Dholaipar English Medium Kindergarten School. Then from second to sixth grade, he studied in a high school. In seventh grade he attended Rajaddi high school in Narsingdi. Eighth grade was done in Sadasadi high school. Later, he passed the secondary examination. After finishing Higher Secondary from Narsingdi Government University College, he passed BSC from Narsingdi Government University College. In 1996, he started a four-year course studying Rabindra songs from Narsingdi Shilpakala Academy.In the meantime, after completing the BSC in 2001, he started working with the organization in theater and enhanced his performance skills.Then he learned of Partha Pratim Majumder. Inspired by his work, Nithor Mahbub turned to mime. From his childhood he had a lot of interest in the theater. He performs solo mime performance as well as film, drama, advertisement and song modeling. His mime works include the 'post office', of Swapnadal, 'Tamasha', 'Now you see it', 'Biye birombona', 'The Damal Boy Nazrul' of Genesis Theater, 'Raja Sahitya Factory' of theater drama practice center, and 'Nikhad' 'Chandramukhi'. He offers training on acting and mime. He works as a major resource for primary schools of BRAC-run MIME project. He created the Mime Art Award in 2015 with Mime Art.
