Nikolay Kurbatov

Nikolay Ivanovich Kurbatov () is a Russian editor, poet, publicist, author of over 2900 works, including more than 900 verses and over 800 videos and slideshow, the founder of trailer poetics and dialogue construction of the trailer, nominee of Russian national award "Poet of the year 2017" and the international award "Philanthrope 2018". His videos were many times trailers of trailers channels on YouTube in Russia and in the West, including "FilmTrailerZone" ("ScreenFlex") and verses were published in the large groups in VK. He was entered 8 times in the Russian book of records, including as author of the highest rated movie trailer ("The Lion King Russian Fan-Made Trailer" as of August 8, 2016), most liked video without dislikes ("The Great Gatsby Fan-Made Video Clip" as of August 11, 2016) and most viewed video without dislikes ("The Revenant Russian Fan-Made Trailer" as of August 12, 2016). His videos has tens millions of views on YouTube, including almost 40 millions on the international channel "Teaser PRO", over 1.2 million of views on "KinoGuru", about 1 million on channel "Movie Trailers", over 500 hundred on "Multitab - cartoons", over 300 hundred on his own and more than 300 hundred on channel "Agnia Ogonek".
Biography
Nikolay was born in Perm in the family of engineer Oleg Orlovsky and teacher-sociologist Lyudmila Kurbatova. In his childhood he was engaged in athletics, darts, football freestyle. At the end of 2004 he began to make videos from movies (using method of screenshots). From 2006 to May 2010 he wrote reviews for feature films, articles and short stories, as well as drafting box office forecasts and creating musical compositions.
In 2007 he entered the Perm National Research Polytechnic University on specialty "Enterprise Economy and Management" In May, 2010 he returned to the trailers, but already in special video editing soft. After a difficult winter session in early 2011, Nikolay started a depression. As a result, he decided to undergo treatment at the psychotherapeutic center. After treatment he went on an academic vacation. A two-week after his discharge, he creates "V for Vendetta Russian fan-made trailer" (in the world is known as "V for Vendetta Modern Trailer"), which was immediately appreciated in Moscow. As result Nikolay began to work with Andrey Rusanov in his production center and created official trailer for movie "No men".
In June 7 psychosis occurred with Nikolay, and he was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital. There he stayed for more than a month. He was diagnosed with a bipolar disorder. After discharge from the hospital, he continued to do video editing. He made the official trailer #2 for the movie "Home", several versions of the official TV spot for the film "August Eighth". In February 2012, he continued his studies at university. He made two official TV commercials for the film "Atomic Ivan", the official trailer for the film "Tomorrow". In May, 2012 the doctors allowed to cancel the main drug. This led to the fact that in July he again had a psychosis, and he again fell into a psychiatric hospital. And this time he spent more than 7 months there and became invalid.
After discharge, Nikolay made official trailers for the films "Not quite simple story", "The Aunties", "Composer", versions of the official trailers for movies "Children", "All at Once" and "Winter Journey", he fulfilled an order for the Moscow Government and the Ministry Culture of Russia: a trailer for the X Film Festival "Radiant Angel", made showreel for Nadezhda Mikhalkova and a few videos for traier house "On/Off Pro" (the biggest trailer house in Russia). Since April to August 2015 administered the group "Trailers" in VK. Since 2015 he is engaged in charity.
