Newman Travel Team

The Newman Travel Team league consists of eight Mexican named brand teams. Only Teens aged 15 through 17 are eligible to play. Chivas, America, Santos, Atlas, Toluca, Pumas, Pachuca, and Cruz Azul are the eight teams that teenagers can play in. Newman, California is one of three cities that host the tournament twice every year. Players actually get paid to play. These teams can draft any player they want from the lower division called the City League.

While Newman contains the "Mexican Teams", Patterson and Gustine groupings serve different leagues. Patterson hosts the International Teams which are Riverplate(ARG), Boca Juniors(ARG), Barcelona(SPN), Inter Milan(ITL), Liverpool(ENG), Arsenal(ENG), Real Madrid(SPN), and Newcastle(ENG). Gustine carries the MLS teams: Fire, Galaxy, Chivas USA, Dynamo, United, Dallas, Rapids, and Revolution.

After the Newman Travel Team(NTT) league is over, the drafting to the Westside League begins. The Newman CA coach, Jose Bautista, can receive any player he wants from the FMF League. So does the coach from Patterson CA and Gustine CA. After the drafting, two teams play each other to face the previous year's champions.

Drafting
Players sign up at the age of 11 to play for the City League. Any of the teams above will sign a player up to play with them. Coaches from the higher league, which is the FMF League, can pay officially $10 to play. This will teach players how life will be if they decide to reach the professional goal later in life. A soccer player can get paid up to $10 a game and $3 each goal they can score. After the season is over, coaches from other teams can "buy" players to play in their team. If the player does not want to change teams, he or she can stay in their current team. They can get paid more with other teams, the player decides, more money or a chance to play with their desired team. Coaches from the Patterson Travel Team or the Gustine Travel Team can also buy players from either city.
