New Method Wellness Center

The New Method Wellness is a residential addiction treatment center in San Juan Capistrano, California with on-site drug and alcohol detox facilities, specializing in treating substance abuse addiction and underlying mental health issues.
History
New Method Wellness was founded in 2006 by Ed Blum and Susie Hopson-Blum in San Juan Capistrano, California. Hopson-Blum entered the Betty Ford Clinic and started her recovery since December 2, 1988, that lead her to New Method Wellness alongside her husband Ed. Bing Crosby (grandson of Bing Crosby) and DeAnna Crosby joined the board and became partners/owners in 2011.
NMW regularly appears on Dr. Phil Show, appeared on National Geographic’s “Taboo” series and on A&E’s Emmy Award Winning show, “Intervention."
Lawsuits
The City of Dana Point cited the treatment facility for running an ‘unlicensed sober home.’ and New Method Wellness lost a lawsuit against Dana Point.
New Method Wellness settled a years-long lawsuit against Cigna HealthCARE but is contractually bound to not share the details about the outcome of the lawsuit.<ref name=":1" />
