New Beach F.C.

New Beach Football Club was a Sunday League side foundered in 1973 by a group of friends who had holiday homes on the New Beach Caravan Park and the adjacent Eastfleet Caravan Park in Dymchurch, Kent.
The club played a number of friendlies and 5-a-side tournaments in Deal, Kent until 1975 when they joined the London & Kent Border League and were placed in Junior Division 1.
At this time the founding members, Colin Wood, Keith Nightingale, Chris Wilcocks, Alec Keeler, Mark Whitaker, Terry Whymark, and Tony Collins recruited a number of work acquaintances to augment the squad, these being: Kevin Daly, Bob Whitehand, Derrick Robinson, Martin Macdonald, and Clive Gill who also brought in a few "friends of friends" to further add to the club's players.
In their very first season (1975/76) New Beach clinched the runners up spot to gain promotion to Intermediate Division Two of the LKBL.
