Netvouz

Netvouz is a free social bookmarking service which allows users to save and share their favourite bookmarks online. Unlike other popular social bookmarking services, Netvouz allows users to use both tags and folders for organizing and accessing their bookmarks, allowing for a more flexible organisation of bookmarks.

Features

* Bookmarks may be imported from browsers (Firefox, IE, Opera) or other social bookmarking services.

* Bookmarks can be made public (shared) or private (password-protected)

* Batch editing: any group of selected bookmarks can be edited simultaneously.

* Folder hierarchy: the user can sort links in folders, and keeps bookmarks folder hierarchy when importing from a browser.

* Fast and simple interface.

* Automatic link checking: the user is alerted of broken links, and the urls of sites that have moved are updated to the redirected ones.

* Bookmarks can be exported and imported of in both HTML and XML format.

Limitations

* No auto-synchronisation: a bookmark in the user's local browser's favorites is not automatically changed in Netvouz as well, or vice-versa.

* Bookmarked web sites are not cached.

* Spaces are not allowed in tags: a bookmark tagged "Renaissance art" will be split into two tags "Renaissance" and "art."

* Limited interaction: beside the latest links being posted on the frontpage, there are no ways users can observe other users' activities except by clicking on that user's public bookmarks.
