Nelson Monhon

Nelson Monhon (6 September 1990) is a full time football defender who plays for Salisbury City.
Playing career
Bristol Rovers
Monhon started out playing football with Fisher Athletic, but was spotted as a youngster by Bristol Rovers. He came through Rovers youth set-up and impressed. However, at then end of the 2008-09 season, he wasn't offered a professional contract by the club and was allowed to leave.
Salisbury City
After release by Bristol Rovers, Monhon was invited along by Salisbury City manager, Tommy Widdrington, to train with the club. Whilst training with Salisbury, he played for Minehead, as well as playing regularly for Salisbury's Reserve side. He scored a 45-yard lob against Bournemouth's reserve side. He then went on loan to Gloucester City, coming off the bench twice for them in his short spell with them. However, he was recalled by Salisbury on 24 December after an injury crisis left them with only 12 fit first team players. He featured on the bench over the Christmas period and had played twice for the first team in the Wiltshire Premier Shield, getting sent off in the second off these games.
