Current structure and composition
The National Atheist Party was founded by Mark Smith and Troy Boyle in March 2011 and is run by a committee of elected officials, the Executive Board. An Advisory Council was formed to advise and assist the Executive Board in determining and defining political policies and strategies, by giving professional advice from within their particular areas of expertise. A committee was commissioned from the membership with the sole purpose of developing the foundation of the National Atheist Party’s Charter.

The National Atheist Party is not affiliated with any other political party in the United States.
