Nathan Ingram (karate)

Nathan Ingram is an American martial arts instructor, bouncer, and actor.
Karate
Ingram began training in karate at the age of 11. He did some work for various individuals as a bodyguard including drug lord Nicky Barnes . He was called a real life Bruce Leroy, a character derived from the movie The Last Dragon whose name was derived from Bruce Lee. He appeared in three films, The Deadly Art of Survival (1979),Wild Style (1982) (a Charlie Ahearn film) and Boulevard Warriors (2015)
Bank robbery
In 1981, Ingram utilized his karate skills to foil a bank robber in New York City, at the European American Bank. For this he received a medal from former New York City Mayor Ed Koch.
