Personal life Nathan was born to Betty Ann and Ivan Leon Followill, a minister, who traveled around the American South. He is married to American singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin, with whom he lives in Brentwood, Tennessee. Followill and Baylin were married on November 14, 2009 in Brentwood, Tennessee at the Wolf Den Farm. Nathan made headlines on January 26, 2011 for a Twitter attack against Ryan Murphy, creator of Fox's hit show, 'Glee' for publicly criticizing the band for not allowing the use of a song on his show. Followill later apologized. Nathan also plays acoustic guitar.
