Nacht Der Tanz

A Nacht Der Tanz (German: Dances of the Night) was a post romantic orchestral composition style created by Joel Kass. Although earlier works for this category were primarily written for piano and violin, later works incorporated full orchestra and symphonic works. Each Nacht Der Tanz has the following elements that are in common: ---- 1. Versammlung (German: Meeting) which generally begins with the theme and often with a solo instrument. ---- 2. Kuss des Abends (German: Kiss of the Evening) which add strings, cellos and French horns. ---- 3. Tanz (German: Dance) which slows the tempo dramatically and gives the listener what Kass called a Pausieren Sie rechtzeitig (German:Pause in Time). ---- 4. Trennen (German: The Parting) which returns to the theme and will often end with the solo instrument melody. |
