MySammy is a United States-based technology company that produces cloud-based software and services to allow organizations to monitor the productivity of their employees. History MySammy was founded and launched in 2011 by Edward M. Kwang, a software entrepreneur who previously launched Netcellent. MySammy started as an internal project to keep track of telecommuter's work hours. About MySammy is a cloud-based "productivity measurement solution" delivered as software-as-a-service, which evaluates the proportion of users’ time spent on productive and unproductive tasks while on the computer, allowing managers to assess how efficiently and productively their employees are working. Data is presented to managers through charts and graphs. It is possible to see how much time employees spend on particular software applications or websites, and identify not only how productive they are, but how their non-productive time is spent, for the sake of improving performance. MySammy does not block website access but can be used with blocking solutions. Compared to other employee monitoring solutions, which rely on screenshots, MySammy is relatively uninvasive, collecting the minimum information necessary to monitor performance in order to preserve employees' privacy. The MySammy software is available both for personal computers and iOS and Android mobile devices.
