Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (born November 15, 1986) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist and real estate developer. He is widely known as the founder of MOK foundation, he also co-founded Luxiar Construction Limited. Background and education Muhydeen was born in Offa, Kwara State. His father was a mechanic, his mother was a petty trader, and he is the youngest of seven siblings. He attended Offa Grammar School, where he completed his secondary education in 2004, he proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, where he obtained a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and later earned his HND at Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa in the same field. While studying, Muhydeen undertook industrial training in Abuja, gaining practical experience in construction project management and cost control. The exposure set the stage for his entrepreneurial journey. Career In 2017, after several years of working with established construction firms, He co-founded a construction company, Luxiar Construction Limited. Over the years, the company has successfully executed several projects, including residential estates, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. Some notable projects include the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and the Ministry of Defence Cooperative Society Estate. The company's portfolio boasts an array of over 3,000 structures, encompassing residential and commercial buildings, as well as critical infrastructure and industrial facilities. In 2023, Muhydeen Kayode raised dust over illegal structures springing across the Federal Capital Territory, stressing that it is a ticking time bomb. MOK foundation Muhydeen is the founder and president of MOK Foundation which is named after his initials. According to him, established the foundation to address the challenges he witnessed in his community, including poverty, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of essential amenities. The foundation is known for its philanthropic works in Kwara state, through this foundation, he has provided educational and vocational scholarships, spearheaded youth empowerment programs, facilitated micro-credit and financial empowerment initiatives, and engaged in various other humanitarian interventions. The Foundation has assisted a total of 29,000 persons in Kwara state in the last 18 months. Activities * In 2023, the MOK foundation assisted farmers in Offa, Oyun Local government areas with tractors. * In July 2023, the foundation installed solar-powered street lights in offa community market. * On December 9, 2023, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, he donated cash to persons living disabilities * In January 2024, he offered WAEC scholarship to 130 less privileged students in Kwara. * In 2024, the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools applauded him for awarding Joint Admissions and Matriculation (JAMB) scholarship to 300 indigent students in Offa and Oyun local government areas of Kwara State. Personal life Muhydeen is married to Mrs. Ramat Okunlola and they have two children together.
