Mr Po-ko Luk

Po-ko Luk(), a Hong Kong educationalist now teaching physics in Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kap Yan Directors' College.

Nickname
Luk is often referred as PK Luk, or the high-hand. The name HIGH-HAND is an indirect translation from which roughly means an expert.

Education
In 1985, Luk was admitted to The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He studied in the department of physics, where he met his favourite professor, Kenneth Young
BS, PhD (Caltech) (). Inspiring Prof. Young is Luk's idol and has enlightened him in eductaion and science.

Contributions
The genius of Luk was illustrated in his textbook, entitled Advanced Level physics, also known as the Sky Book of Physics or the Holy Physics Book, which includes his wonderful physics knowledge and importants including:

*, Charismas field dynamics is equivalent to the electromagnetic field dynamics. The charisma field line is endocentric, people will move towards the charming people along the charisma field line. Similarly, the annoying people have the Jerk's field lines, which is centrifugal. People will be repelled from such person along the Jerk's field lines. In general, normal people is charismatically neutral.
There is two special case of charisma field lines.
The first special case is the narcissists. They are dipoles, which means its field line start and end at themself.
The second case is Shingo Kato's field line, it got a vortex shape due to his charming ludicrous behaviour and cool brutal appearance.

*, a rough equivalent form of the the logic argument,Reductio ad absurdum which helps explain various physics phenomena.

*, a method which helps student memorize physics equations. It is the short form of "Acceleration leads velocity leads displacement". Students generally find it very useful in knowing the phase difference between the displacement, velocity and acceleration of a particle performing simple harmonic motion.

*, another practical method of memorising the phase difference in simple harmonic motion.

*, a vivid analogy of Lenz's Law . The Lenz's Law states that the induced current produced in the conductor always flows in such a direction that the magnetic field it produces will oppose the change that produces it. This induced current is compared to a rebellion boy who is disobedient to his parents and always acts against their wills.

These works are proved very efficient method to make students understand sophisticated concepts. 'Advanced Level physics', therefore, is considered one of the greatest triumphs of modern physics education. Due to the eminence of his work, an enormous amount of students in the North District, Hong Kong , reproduce his book for references and revisions.

Popularity
After the publishment of Advanced Level physics has make Luk increasingly famous. In recent years, Luk has been reckoned as one of the most distinguished teacher in Hong Kong. His degree of popularity has been evidenced by the extraordinarily high number of visitors to his personal website. According to the visitor counter in his website, an average of 7000 people surf his website everyday. The counter has been shut down recently due to overflowing of the counter.
