MP3 Music Awards

The MP3 Music Awards, also called the MMA's, were established in 2007 to celebrate and award the most popular artists as well as the best mp3 players and mp3 retailers in today's world of music. MMA act as a major industry catalyst, creating the conditions to inspire diverse artists / bands and audiences whilst shaping memorable and unforgettable experiences. MP3 Music Awards works with industry individuals, sponsors and media partners across the UK and overseas. The first annual MP3 Music Awards Europe will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Highlights
2007 MP3 Music Awards
The first annual MP3 Music Awards was broadcast live online in association with RawFlow and Selfcast in 2007. There were different live performances by several artists including: Akon ft Trinity Chris. Sony, EMI, DJ Sir Charles, and the event was hosted by the BBC.
2008 MP3 Music Awards
At the second annual MP3 Music Awards Arnaud Tedde, The Microsoft Zune won the BMP Award for Best MP3 Player. Live performances were made by Paul Johnson, Wild Wolf Music and Olivia Theresa Longott.
2009 MP3 Music Awards
The third annual MP3 Music Awards created the first all-in-one Judging Jukebox Player with Adobe developers. 7 Digital won the BMR Award for Best MP3 Retailer and the Apple iPod Classic 160GB won the BMP Award for the Best MP3 Player. Winners in the 2009 awards included Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga and Agnes Carlsson.
